It's been a while so thought I might give everyone an update. I made it through tax season .. I'm sure it doesn't sound like a big deal but this year was a tough one! With the economy the way it is, our clients had a lot of questions and needs. I was ready for a vacation after April 15th! That being said, I planned a trip to Disneyland!! We took a 5 day trip to celebrate Jadyn's 5th birthday and Mother's Day.
We left at 4:30 Wednesday morning, with a stop by March AFB to see Randy. He gave us a great tour of his plane and the base. Being around planes I knew what to expect, but Ryan was amazed at how big the plane was and Jadyn and Jordan didn't really know what to think. After the tour he took us to a little Thai restaurant that he had been raving about .. and now I can see why! The food was amazing! Thanks Randy for taking us there!
I was even more excited when I found out Randy was going to join us at Disneyland Wednesday and Thursday!! After lunch we headed down to Anaheim to check into our hotel, freshen up a bit, and then off to Disneyland for a bit. The kids couldn't wait! Jordan had no idea what kind of treat he was in for!
We were all ready for a good sleep that night, but Jadyn was too excited about her birthday the next day .. eventually we got her settled down! Thursday morning we were off to Disneyland again .. Uncle Randy bought Jadyn a nice birthday lunch .. went on more rides .. and waited in more lines .. oh, you get the point! We took Jadyn to a fun birthday dinner - Joe's Crab Shack!! They have a nice patio with a playground for the kids, it almost seemed like she'd rather be there than at Disneyland! :) They dressed her up as a pirate and sang a Pirates Happy Birthday (she wasn't so happy about that since she did NOT like the Pirates of the Carribean!)
Friday was the same routine - Disneyland!!
Saturday we drove down to Balboa Park, walked along the beach and down the pier. It was a nice change in weather and scenery. Very relaxing! From there we drove up Pacific Coast Highway up to Seal Beach. On the way back to the hotel we grabbed some lunch and headed to the pool. Beautiful and peaceful! We decided to make our way to disneyland to catch the fireworks ... can you believe they don't do the Electrical Parade anymore?!
Sunday .. Mother's Day .. woke up to my beautiful and sweet children wishing me a Happy Mother's Day. We lounged in bed for a bit before packing up our things to head home. Saying goodbye to CA was actually pretty easy this time .. I was ready for a vacation from our vacation!! We were exhausted!
Jadyn starts Kindergarten in August and is just now starting to get excited. She was pretty unsure about it all at first. She is doing great with her writing, alphabet, and numbers. She's a smart chik!
Jordan is a handful .. always have to stay ahead of him! He's doing good with his alphabet and numbers too. He is totally potty trained now, day and night!!! No more pull-ups! Ryan and I will have more money now without the cost of diapers or pull ups. First time in 5 years ... wow! :)
Ryan is very busy at work, and by next week he will be a Certified Mazda Technician!
I am still busy at work, and just thankful that Ryan and I both have jobs!
We are planning a trip up to Utah to see my sister and her husband in July. That will be a ton of fun!
Hope everyone is doing well .. I'll see if I can find some pictures to attach!
